To support this accelerated growth in Europe, they are seeking a talented Construction Project Manager to oversee the implementation of significant construction and maintenance projects across their network of approximately 200 petrol stations in the Berlin area.

The Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in the company's energy transition through the planning, execution, and oversight of construction and maintenance projects. You will be responsible for managing budgets averaging 8 million euros, coordinating with architects, planners, and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards, and serving as the technical expert for all departments involved with the retail sites.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of larger maintenance measures and projects at approx. 200 petrol stations.
  • Utilize strong analytical, structured, and networked thinking abilities.
  • Manage budgets and control expenditures for capital and operating projects (Capex/Revex)
  • Lead and manage architects, specialist planners, and contractors in the execution of major projects, including direct coordination at the trade level.
  • Ensure compliance with administrative regulations and personal responsibility for offenses (OWIG)
  • Maintain overall HSSE responsibility for all measures within your area of responsibility, ensuring the highest level of contractor compliance with HSSE standards and regulations, including risk management during project planning.
  • Provide technical advice to network development, including cost estimates and feasibility analyses.
  • Responsible for the implementation of construction measures according to performance phases HOAI § 1 – 9.
  • Contribute to ensuring compliance and implementation of contractor agreements as part of the maintenance department.
  • Coordinate with authorities on all technical matters concerning the petrol stations.
  • Serve as the technical contact person for all departments working on petrol stations within the group.

Education:

University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a comparable field is mandatory.

Essential experience:

  • Experience in field service, operations, or construction project management.
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to make decisions, self-manage and organise complex projects.
  • Negotiation experience and confidence.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Experience in overseeing complex construction and maintenance projects.
  • Foresight to anticipate and address necessary measures.
  • High resilience and ability to work under pressure.
